The Soul vs. The Ego—Finding Balance Between Spirit and Self
Limiting Beliefs are a compilation of all of your fears. These beliefs are your fears magnified into a stream of constant thoughts. Constant thoughts and overthinking in general, channels your movements, your actions. They become your internal dialogue and then your real voice.
Spirituality is innate, natural to humans and other beings. Everything that moves has a soul. To have a soul is to be spiritual. The ego deems spiritual nature as powerful. The more you lean into ego the less you are connected to the Divine, which means you are less connected to your being, your essential goodness. The ego is not designed to be dominant because, it's not of the soul but of the flesh. Ego and spirit are direct opposites.
The ego rationalizes while the spirit believes, and is faithful. The ego hears, but the spirit feels. There is no denying the connection when you are leaning into and relying on spirit. Though opposites, spirit and ego must be fed. The one the human feeds most, is the one that is stronger.
The ego is new with each incarnation only capable of rationalizing based on learned data, and exposure specific to one lifetime. The only things familiar to the ego are current experiences and the experiences themselves becoming a fabric of reality. The soul is limitless. Your soul has always been with you. Each lifetime, each experience, each incarnation, the soul is present. Collecting lessons and advancing with the completion of each lesson. All for growth all for succession, all for the experience of humanity. The soul remembers, the soul feels connection to the light and other souls.
The fear of the light is against spiritual nature. The light is where you entered this life, the light is where you should return. But, we all have choices. In each choice there is a decision to follow the soul map or rely on the ego. The ego knows only but what you feed it. The ego is taught through real time, there is no past memory. The ego is only aware of a single lifetime of events.
Disconnection from the soul, from faith, means the ego has been fed. This means you have only relied on what you can rationalize and what you can see. However, the world is made up of both the seen and the unseen. What you see is ego. What you feel emotionally is the soul.
If you cannot connect to the light, you have forgotten who you are because you believe only what you can see and not what you can feel.
Here’s the question to consider: What is your most debilitating limiting belief?
Ultimately, we are all playing out a version of resistance. But, the people that are the furthest away from clarity have a tough time accepting who they are and how they are showing up in the world. And that conclusion is not hard to arrive at because we are only willing to accept who we are in the absence of our ego.
