Understanding your Soul Purpose
I believe soul purpose is accessible in every stage of our lives. Though we think we have to spend time finding it, it's always hanging out in the background, waiting for us to accept the terms of our respective soul agreements. Soul agreements are the agreements, the terms of your divine nature. These agreements are made in preparation for what you will experience in this life: your birth environment, your childhood experience, your guardians, and your circumstances. Soul agreements can not be altered, for they are intricate and are final with the signature of your soul imprint and that of a divine being. This agreement details the plight of your mission and the degree of lessons you will experience in any given incarnation. Your soul agreement is complete with a beginning and an end. A soul agreement is created with great care and respect for each soul. It is a blueprint and regarded as the most sacred document a soul could possess. It is your life explained, plotted, charted, and designed uniquely and solely for you. The soul agreement, your soul agreement, is the true gift of this life.
Allow yourself to reflect from wherever you are in your circumstances right now, slowly contemplate the possibilities and events of your childhood. Indeed, you will be able to find elements of your purpose throughout your life. But have you leaned into your soul purpose? Or are you trying to carve out your distinct path irrespective of your true abilities and your divine designation?
The Big Reveal
Soul purpose is more complex for some to realize than others. Truthfully, soul purpose is the question that drives most creatives to spiritual guidance. Unsurprisingly, most people who elevate the idea of soul purpose to this magical feat are often disappointed in understanding what purpose means for them in this lifetime. I find those seeking this "big reveal" falter connecting with what is authentic for them and the themes of purpose that have already been sprinkled throughout their lives. With this reveal mindset, many choose a more complicated path to control, control their lives, and others around them. Though, the foundation of our spiritual nature is the act of surrendering. We must surrender to our soul's purpose so it becomes less elusive and can begin to serve us in its presentation of the lessons we are meant to experience to grow and evolve in our lifetime. It is only our inner conflict with choices that prevent our purpose from feeling like the pathway to freedom. Ultimately, we only have two real choices in our incarnation: our souls choose an experience to learn and evolve through and the choice to allow the natural consequences of our original intention. So you get to choose yourself and choose to play out the circumstances of your birth environment that catapult you into who you will become to activate your soul purpose.
Why do we avoid soul purpose?
Soul purpose is where the most amount of free will is desired. Humans want to love on their terms, and society is leading the conversation in personal autonomy, agency, and more authority while slowly stripping away more and more personal freedoms.
All have free will, but all have a soul imprint of a designation assigned before this life began. No amount of autonomy will erase what has been given as a universal condition of existence. The soul is programmed to seek, and what it seeks is connection, lessons, love, and the ability to be in service. There is no underlying driver in your life without purpose, and for most people, that would mean a lifetime of suffering.
Our soul purpose grounds and connects us to the Earth; it unconsciously reminds us that we belong here and we have something unique we must participate in before we return to where we originate. Soul purpose reminds us that time is finite. If time in this place is limited, soul purpose is here to encourage the walk. Though some refer to it as an inevitable doomsday, in doing so, they negate the infinite nature of energy and spiritual beings.
"Passion is not sustainable, only purpose is.
Passion can't be sustainable because it is only directed at the self, the ego. There is no universal connection or reason for attachment in the arc of life. Passion creates servitude for the self and its likeness, but no one or nothing else, honestly. To ascend, it is through purpose, not passion pursuits. Passion can only serve as a pathway to a deeper connection to purpose. The creative abilities we all have inside of us lead to a means of activating soul purpose.
Are you still struggling with soul purpose?
Soul purpose is not a tangible concept because most people struggle with belief in the Holy Spirit of Light without associating with organized religion. Soul purpose requires faith in Spirit first and the blessings of Spirit as a secondary concept. Many spiritual seekers are still reasoning and rationalizing and resisting the nature of existence. As long as this state of being flows through them, free will is always an option they will consider and use at will. The will is the ego. Free ego is a better way to describe free will. It is permission to follow the mind, the reasoning wherever it shall lead rather than the natural tendencies of the soul.
Most people also desire success. But success is not directly correlated with success. This lust for wealth and recognition is not the purpose of life. Success can only fulfill worldly desires, not spiritual designations. You may bring fruit, but the soul moves through time like wind, unattached to anything.
